Responsibilities 

701x is seeking a strategic and creative Head of Marketing to help us promote our products and keep the company growing. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a passion for the job, able to employ unique marketing techniques. They must be a skilled marketing strategist and able to drive creativity and enthusiasm in others.


The hire would become part of a small and highly skilled team that is building upon and improving a management platform for livestock, with the goal of helping ranchers do more with less. The hire will report directly to our VP of Business Development. 701x has a highly innovative, fast-paced, and positive culture that is centered around opportunity and teamwork.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop and lead an integrated brand and messaging strategy to strengthen awareness and engagement with target audience across digital and traditional media.

  • Manage website and implement SEO best practices to optimize organic search, maximize traffic and conversions.

  • Monitor website analytics, oversee key performance indicators, interpret data into trends and strategy, and share reports with management.

  • Monitor and drive KPIs including brand awareness, lead acquisition, conversion and engagement.

  • Execute digital lead generation and nurturing tactics including paid search, display and web content.

  • Control marketing budgets and allocate resources amongst projects.

  • Lead all areas of content generation and production across all media platforms while maintaining the master marketing calendar.

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, and audience identification.

  • Create and design print ads, digital ads, marketing materials, and more

  • Coordinate and ensure quality of external marketing resources (e.g. photography, videography, graphic design, etc.).

  • Create and direct email marketing campaigns, both newsletters and building custom automation.

  • Oversee brand integrity across all marketing channels, ensuring that all meet brand guidelines.

  • Analyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback.

  • Collaborate with the software team to develop tailored messaging and imagery for the 701x app.

  • Develop some B2B marketing strategies to support field sales and manage other marketing projects including tradeshows/events as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or communications.

  • 2 years of experience as Head of Marketing, Director of Marketing or a similar role.

  • Experience overseeing SEO, paid search, email, and social media campaigns (Google Certification preferred).

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud platforms for graphic design.

  • Experience using a CRM and marketing automation tool such as HubSpot or similar.

  • Deep understanding of web-based data and metrics with a track record of distilling actionable insights from data.

  • Social media savvy with understanding of online engagement through creative writing.

  • Team player who loves to collaborate and can thrive in a fast-moving, start-up environment.

  • Experience managing budgets and marketing campaigns.

  • Leadership and project management skills.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Analytical, creative, and detail oriented.

  • Knowledge of agriculture industry a plus, but not required.

Compensation

$70,000-85,000+ DOE
