Responsibilities
Use creativity and innovation to produce a mechanical design for designated projects
Handle all aspects of design engineering and provide production support for related products
Perform prototyping activities to support new product development
Draft detailed multi-view drawings of products and machines
Work with vendors, customers, and employees on a professional level
Troubleshoot issues to determine problem analysis and problem resolution
Specify and order integrated tools, equipment, or materials needed for projects
Be a great team player
Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the US
Must have a valid drivers license
Have troubleshooting skills, both mechanical and electrical
Have the ability to self- manage
Moderate skill level in CAD software
Effective communication/organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Attention to detail and ability to resolve issues
Are capable of designing new concepts and standards
Occasional travel to product test sites
We are looking for a talented and versatile Mechanical Designer to support the development, maintenance, and improvement of our assistive technology hardware products. The hire would become part of a highly skilled research and design development team and work directly with a variety of engineers in the same and in other disciplines to develop products to the highest level of capability and manufacturability.
Qualifications
B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Have at minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design in automation or related field
