Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Use creativity and innovation to produce a mechanical design for designated projects

  • Handle all aspects of design engineering and provide production support for related products

  • Perform prototyping activities to support new product development

  • Draft detailed multi-view drawings of products and machines

  • Work with vendors, customers, and employees on a professional level

  • Troubleshoot issues to determine problem analysis and problem resolution

  • Specify and order integrated tools, equipment, or materials needed for projects

  • Be a great team player

Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

  • Must have a valid drivers license

  • Have troubleshooting skills, both mechanical and electrical

  • Have the ability to self- manage

  • Moderate skill level in CAD software

  • Effective communication/organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Attention to detail and ability to resolve issues

  • Are capable of designing new concepts and standards

  • Occasional travel to product test sites

We are looking for a talented and versatile Mechanical Designer to support the development, maintenance, and improvement of our assistive technology hardware products. The hire would become part of a highly skilled research and design development team and work directly with a variety of engineers in the same and in other disciplines to develop products to the highest level of capability and manufacturability.

Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • Have at minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design in automation or related field
