Job Description
Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented and versatile Mechanical Engineering to support the development, maintenance, and improvement of our assistive technology hardware products. The hire would become part of a highly skilled research and design development team and work directly with a variety of engineers in the same and in other disciplines to develop products to the highest level of capability and manufacturability

  • Use creativity and innovation to produce a mechanical design for designated project

  • Handle all aspects of design engineering and provide production support for related products

  • Perform prototyping activities to support new product development

  • Draft detailed multi-view drawings of products and machines

  • Work with vendors, customers, and employees on a professional level

  • Troubleshoot issues to determine problem analysis and problem resolution

  • Specify and order integrated tools, equipment or materials needed for project

  • Be a great team player

Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

  • Must have a valid drivers license

  • Have troubleshooting skills, both mechanical and electrical

  • Have the ability to self- manage

  • Moderate skill level in CAD software

  • Effective communication/organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Attention to detail and ability to resolve issues

  • Are capable of designing new concepts and standards

  • Occasional travel to product test sites

701x is developing highly innovative precision agriculture technologies with a focus on beef cattle. We have developed a cattle management system consisting of a record-keeping app and optional GPS/activity monitoring ear tags for livestock. We are continuously improving and adding features to our software app, as well as adding in a variety of other hardware devices and sensors to help automate the production of beef cattle.

Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • Have at minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design in automation or related field
