Our comprehensive cattle management system includes a record-keeping app and optional GPS/activity monitoring ear tags for livestock. We are continuously enhancing our platform, integrating additional hardware devices and sensors to automate beef cattle production.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer Intern to join our team and support ongoing hardware development initiatives.
Role Overview
As an Electrical Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our engineering team to support the design, development, testing, and refinement of electrical systems and hardware prototypes. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced innovation environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of electrical circuits and systems
Support PCB layout and schematic development
Build, test, and troubleshoot prototypes and hardware systems
Conduct testing, data collection, and performance analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, product)
Document designs, test procedures, and results
Contribute to iterative improvements and product optimization
Qualifications
Required:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Basic understanding of circuit design and electronics fundamentals
Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Familiarity with tools such as Cicuit Studio, Altium, KiCad, Eagle, or similar PCB design software
Experience with embedded systems or microcontrollers (Arduino, STM32, etc.)
Exposure to power systems, signal processing, or RF (depending on project needs)
Experience with rapid prototyping and hardware debugging
Familiarity with Python
