Responsibilities

The hire would become part of a highly skilled research and design development team and work directly with a variety of engineers in the same and in other disciplines to develop products to the highest level of capability and manufacturability.

Requirements

· Debug software operating on hardware at different stages of its development cycle from prototype boards to the newest released product

· Perform hardware board bring-up, troubleshooting, automated software builds, and device driver development

· Expertise in Modern C++ programming with experience using common communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART with several years of development experience (4+) outside of school is desired

· Create and design embedded software based on specifications and requirements set by other electronic and software engineers, as well as end users

· Great documentation and verbal communication skills for team collaboration, along with the ability to work independently

· Experience with low power battery operated systems is desired

701x is developing highly innovative precision agriculture technologies with a focus on beef cattle. We have developed a cattle management system consisting of a record-keeping app and optional GPS/activity monitoring ear tags for livestock. We are continuously improving and adding features to our software app, as well as adding in a variety of other hardware devices and sensors to help automate theproduction of beef cattle.We are looking for a talented and versatile Embedded Software Engineer to help aide in the development, maintenance, and improvement of our embedded software for our assistive technology hardware products.
