Software Engineer

About the Role
We’re seeking a Software Engineer who’s excited to build modern web and mobile applications that make a tangible impact in agriculture. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to design, develop, and deploy software across the full stack. You’ll contribute to every phase of the development lifecycle — from feature design and implementation to testing and delivery — while growing your technical expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-quality web applications using React.

• Build cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.

• Contribute to designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend services.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build great user experiences.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Participate in code reviews and share ideas to improve team processes.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues.

• Stay curious and up-to-date with new technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• 2+ years of professional software development experience (internships or personal projects welcome if relevant).

• Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and frameworks like React.

• Experience building or consuming REST APIs.

• Familiarity with mobile app development concepts (React Native experience a plus).

• Experience with Git or other version control tools.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Enthusiasm for learning and contributing in a collaborative environment.

Bonus Points

• Experience with React Native.

• Exposure to cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Interest in IoT, data visualization, or agriculture technology.
