You’re going to buy tools. Seek those that empower your independence and success.
Choices must be made. Some are collectors of “stuff” and “toys”. Others are quite frugal and still use the same rusted up pliers they got as a promotional item at a farm show in 2008. More power to you. In each case, the buyer is leveraging limited funds to source and use those items that make life and business more meaningful and viable going forward.
The side-by-side. Some of you are considering buying a new one.
I get it. That tool makes routine chores simpler and more efficient.
However, I’d ask you to consider this. For the price of that new buggy the average reader of this newsletter can outfit every bull, every cow, and every replacement heifer they own with an xTpro tag and every upcoming calf with an xTlite tag.
That means you can have a year-round management tool that highlights a bull that isn’t mounting, heifers that are open, that stubborn cow that keeps hopping into the neighbor’s place, calves that are sick, and all while having an active daily inventory, ease of data collection, and a shot record at your fingertips. It also means you can take two days at the lake or to visit family and still know what is going on back home.
Or you can get into a new UTV that essentially drives the same, looks the same, and does the same as the one you are replacing.
Choices must be made. One can continue down the same path as everyone else. Letting others make business decisions for your family. Just going with the flow wherever it goes.
Or, as Dr. Seuss told you, “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” I’d ask you to consider what it takes to ensure that your kids and grandkids want to come back and be a part of what you’re building. Our fundamental goal at 701x is to help you make that a reality. We assist you today, so we can work with them tomorrow.
Choices must be made.
