96 Bulls…

In the real world we need answers and solutions. That is what we do. Lots of data means lots of confusion and noise unless it is packaged inside a tool that gives you guidance and direction. Example:

In May and June thousands of bulls were sporting xTpro tags across the U.S. During what is for many a spring breeding season 96 of those bulls threw both a health or activity alert AND the owner intervened to solve the problem. That means the owners either treated the bull and/or they relocated the bull to somewhere more convenient to monitor the health and recovery of the bull.

You know what that means better than most. If we just saved five open cows per bull, either by healing the original bull up or getting another out to take his place, that is significant dollars. At $1750/calf that is $8750 saved for that family per bull. And we kept his cull value in check. What is that? Maybe $3500/bull. So, by those innovative, profit focused families putting those xTpro tags in their herd bulls they kept more than $12,000 at play for their operation. In two months alone! That is well north of a million dollars that stayed with beef producing families. That is how we sustain rural communities and farm families. That is what we do at 701x. Our goals are to improve lives. Period.

Bold Bull Sellers

Along those lines, we have several customer-committed seedstock outfits considering heavy incorporation of xTpro tags for their customers’ bulls. Imagine, you go to a sale and a large portion (or maybe even all) of the bulls available come with an xTpro installed and ready to transfer to you. You get straight to getting health, breeding, and activity alerts at your fingertips. Such a wiser use of dollars than an insurance plan you will never use. You want to solve problems early. Not deal with the headache of a claim and open cows late.

Let me know what you think about this approach. Let your seedstock provider know what you think about this approach.

KC Animal Health Summit

701x was blessed to be highlighted as one of the elite “Emerging Companies” at the recent Animal Health Summit in Kansas City. This is a distinct honor and, after a rigorous culling process, only bestowed upon a handful of firms each year. I tip my hat to my colleagues for building a culture and ecosystem for this to be possible. Additionally, I sincerely thank you, our clients and collaborators, for making our success a reality. What you do on your farms and ranches is what makes this possible.
